1961 24 Hours of Le Mans Posters and Memorabilia
Vintage 1961 Le Mans Handbill / Flyer.
These flyers were handed out at the race to spectators to show them around the track.
Very scarce as most of them were tossed away after the race or disappeared into the mists of time.
The cover matches the image of the 1961 race poster which is after a color illustration by Michel Beligond.
It measures 5.4 x 8.4 inches and unfolds to 21.6 x 8.4 inches.
The race was won by Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien in their Nr 10 Ferrari 250 TRI/61 (S/N 0794TR) with a total of 333 laps to their name.

Vintage 1961 24 Hours of Le Mans Decal
Vintage 1961 24 Hours of Le Mans Ticket for the Signaling Post at Mulsanne corner.
In the days before on-board radios, the team managers relayed their orders to the drivers via signaling boards at Mulsanne corner, which was about half way through a lap.
Those orders were relayed to personnel at Mulsanne by landline telephone. The guys at Mulsanne then put the "orders" on the signaling boards (for example: slow, fast, pits, fuel etc" and held the boards in plain view of the drivers right after Mulsanne corner.
Mulsanne corner was an excellent place to do this as it was about halfway through the lap which gave team management ample time to consider what orders to give, allow the boards to be "dressed" with the right instructions and Mulsanne was about the slowest part of the track, giving the drivers good opportunity to clearly read the signs.
This particular ticket was worn by one the guys at Mulsanne Signaling Post on June 10 and 11 1961 during the running of Les 24 Heures du Mans and therewith a rare and very collectible piece of Le Mans memorabilia.
Only 1 available.
